NYC UN "No Excuses" Concert Cancelled
Posted: Thu 9th September 2004 @ 15:01PM

Here is a statement from Ours' management regarding the show's postponement:

"Just wanted to pass along that tomorrow's free show in New York City is CANCELLED due to the weather forecast. They organizers are hoping to reschedule the event, but most likely we won't be able to be involved due to the upcoming recording schedule. I highly recommend that people stay tuned though and show their support for this cause when the event is rescheduled. The goal is to remind the delegates of the UN that they have not done made good on their promise to reduce Third-World debt, world poverty and hunger, or the spreading AIDS epidemic in Africa. The weather would have caused a hazard to the people involved, as well as reduced the crowd and thus the effect of what the organizers were hoping to achieve. Thanks for understanding and for the support."

Ours and Jimmy are mentioned in positive light in a review of the recent Spiderman 2 soundtrack.

Statement from Ours' Manager Concerning Recent Departures
Posted: Thu 24th June 2004 @ 18:05PM

"As you may have already heard, Pit and Anthony are no longer playing music with Ours. What needs to be understood is that this is not something to be sad about, but rather an opportunity to wish them well in their future endeavors. Since 1994, Jimmy has had many people come in to Ours to help him achieve his musical vision. Ours has always essentially been a solo project, and it's been Jimmy's great privilege to have so many great friends and even family members be a part of Ours. Distorted Lullabies was for the most part a solo record, and the band that toured as Ours were all close friends that Jimmy brought in to the circle to help him spread his music and fulfill his vision. But much like what Nine Inch Nails seems to be, Ours has been and will remain Jimmy's creative outlet for his musical ideas and visions. People will come and go, and the circle will continue to grow. When someone leaves it is almost never on bad terms, but rather to pursue something else in their lives. We all wish Anthony and Pit nothing but infinite success, happiness, and the fulfillment of all their dreams. But as long as Jimmy continues to make music, Ours will continue to exist and to grow. In case you are wondering, the song on the Spider-man 2 soundtrack was billed the way it was because it was not entirely Jimmy's project, and thus it was not called Ours. Hope that clears everything up. Thanks."

Liad (Ours' manager)

What we think...
On behalf of Red Colored Stars, I'd like to wish both Pit and Anthony the best of luck with their future endeavors. - Hayley
