Fan Review:

The song fades in with a rolling, almost itchy drumbeat that makes you feel like you just stumbled into Jimmy's room where he's been throwing things around all night in frustration. As soon as the first lyric "Pray..." hits, it opens up a widescreen view of a different world. Background emotions of vague unrest blossom like neon petals - and it awakened such a sister emotion in me that this was the first song that really grabbed my attention. The whole song is exciting to me, it's fast, it lends itself to head bobbing and lyric muttering throughout the day. I love how this song takes a lot of turns, it reminds me of Space Mountain in Disneyworld where you can't see ahead of you, but each swing to the left or right is exciting, scary and pleasurable all at the same time. At the end, the abrupt silence of the drums, which had been like a heartbeat through the entire journey, makes you feel as if your heart just stopped. You sit there, quietly, wondering if the song is over and hoping that it's not, and then..... that scream.

It sends chills from my neck down every single limb, into my fingers, into my toes. As if Jimmy hadn't shown us enough of his demons, he lets out the most animal, primal, yet somehow amazingly musical scream I've ever heard in my life. It goes on and on, but is too short, and all the while you're frozen, thinking, "He's blowing out his voice...oh my god."

This review is longer than 6-7 lines, but Fallen Souls deserves it. Jimmy captured emotion I've never tapped into and put it in one wordless sound. I think he's beyond gifted. This was the perfect beginning for Distorted Lullabies.

Lyrics:
Pray, i don't know if it's sacred, or not
you say, that we can fall apart at anytime
breathe for the whole world...we can't fight
they starve for the love...that we supply
feed from their eyes, dream you're alive,
and feel feel
the beast flies tonight, and the world he describes
suffer...suffer

Afraid, i don't know if we're heading for a fall
you jump into the front to say you're apart of it all
feed from their eyes, dream your alive, and feel feel
the beast flies tonight, and the world he describes
suffer...suffer

if we feed from their eyes, dream we're alive to feel
the beast flies tonight, the world he describes
suffer...suffer

these are the fallen souls
