| Fallen Souls (4:02) Appears on: Distorted Lullabies Written By: Jimmy Gnecco Record Label: Dreamworks Records Fan Review: The song fades in with a rolling, almost itchy drumbeat that makes you feel like you just stumbled into Jimmy's room where he's been throwing things around all night in frustration. As soon as the first lyric "Pray..." hits, it opens up a widescreen view of a different world. Background emotions of vague unrest blossom like neon petals - and it awakened such a sister emotion in me that this was the first song that really grabbed my attention. The whole song is exciting to me, it's fast, it lends itself to head bobbing and lyric muttering throughout the day. I love how this song takes a lot of turns, it reminds me of Space Mountain in Disneyworld where you can't see ahead of you, but each swing to the left or right is exciting, scary and pleasurable all at the same time.
At the end, the abrupt silence of the drums, which had been like a heartbeat through the entire journey, makes you feel as if your heart just stopped. You sit there, quietly, wondering if the song is over and hoping that it's not, and then.....
that scream.
